Rise Above the Story™ is an educational online course designed to support understanding, perspective, and personal insight. It is not therapy, coaching, counseling, or medical or psychological treatment, and it is not a substitute for professional mental health care.
Nothing in this course is intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical or psychological condition. If you are experiencing acute distress, emotional crisis, or mental health concerns, please seek support from a qualified mental health professional.

By participating in this course, you acknowledge that you are responsible for your own well-being, decisions, and actions.
You understand that: Results and experiences vary. No specific outcome is guaranteed. You are free to engage with the material at your own pace and discretion.
You agree to use your own judgment when applying any insights or practices from the course. Participants assume all risks associated with emotional or psychological responses to the material.
3. Eligibility
This course is intended for adults aged 18 and over. By enrolling, participants represent and warrant that they meet eligibility requirements.
Rise Above the Story™ is not intended for individuals in active crisis or those seeking immediate mental health support. If you are unsure whether this course is appropriate for you, please consult a qualified professional before enrolling.
4. Intellectual Property
All content within Rise Above the Story™, including but not limited to videos, audio, text, exercises, worksheets, and design elements, is the intellectual property of Rise Above the Story LLC and Karena Kilcoyne LLC and is protected by copyright and trademark laws.
You may not:
Reproduce, distribute, copy, share, or resell any course materials
Record or screenshot course content for distribution
Use course materials for commercial purposes
Enrollment grants you a personal, non-transferable license for individual use only.
5. Access and Use
You are granted access to the course materials for your personal use, subject to these Terms.
Access to the Course is provided via Kajabi, a third-party learning platform. From time to time, technical issues, maintenance, or updates may affect availability. While we strive to provide a smooth experience, we cannot guarantee continuous access and are not responsible for disruptions beyond our control.
You are required to maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials. You are not permitted to share your login credentials with any other person. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated.
6. Refund Policy
Your purchase is covered by a 7-Day Clarity Guarantee. If within 7 days of enrollment you realize this course is not aligned for you, you may request a refund provided you have not accessed any content beyond Module 1. Accessing content beyond Module 1 includes, but is not limited to, additional modules, meditations, worksheets, or bonus materials. Refund requests must be submitted within seven days of purchase to support@riseabovethestory.com
7. No Guarantees
While many participants find this course meaningful and clarifying, no guarantees are made regarding outcomes, insights, emotional experiences, or results.
Past participant experiences do not predict future outcomes. Any examples or testimonials shared are illustrative only and do not represent promises or assurances of specific results.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rise Above the Story™ and Rise Above the Story LLC, Karena Kilcoyne LLC, and all affiliated parties shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your participation in the course.
Your use of the course is entirely voluntary and at your own discretion.

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms of Use at any time. Any changes will be effective upon posting to the website. Continued use of the course constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Rise Above the Story LLC, Rise Above the Story™, Karena Kilcoyne LLC, and their owners, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and agents from and against any and all claims, demands, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to:
Your access to or participation in the Course;
Your use, misuse, or reliance upon any Course content;
Your violation of these Terms of Use;
Your infringement of any intellectual property or other rights of any third party; or
Your conduct in connection with the Course or any associated community spaces.
This indemnification obligation will survive the termination of your access to the Course and your use of the website or materials.
11. Governing Law; Venue; Dispute Resolution
These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms of Use or your participation in the Course shall first be submitted to good-faith mediation as a condition precedent to the initiation of any legal action. Mediation shall be conducted in Hillsborough County, Florida, unless the parties mutually agree otherwise.
If mediation does not result in a resolution, any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms of Use shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Hillsborough County, Florida, and you hereby consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of such courts.
